LeaderTeen International® teaches, inspires and motivates teenagers to begin leading today, where they are, with what they have. In the practical and interactive LeaderTeen Academy®, teens learn six key roles of great leaders and work through a series of individual and team exercises that help them apply those roles in their daily lives. In addition, participants learn about cultural, economic and business characteristics of eight different countries. Following completion of the academy, graduates join a network of teen leaders throughouyt the world for conversation, friendship and continued learning.
Each of the eight modules lasts approximately one hour. The LeaderTeen Academy® can be conducted in one eight-hour day, 8 one-hour sessions on different days or any format in between.
By seeing themselves as leaders, teens are better able to identify and seize opportunities in the home, school and community to take initiative and make a positive difference. Academy session work best if the involved participants are within a two-year range of one another and trained facilitators customize each academy for involvement of participants from 13 to 19 years of age.
The LeaderTeen Academy® is presented on a local basis throughout the world with the cooperation of schools, government agencies, universities, and non-governmental organizations. LeaderTeen International® works with local academy hosts to find sponsors to the costs of presenting the academy.
